Delores Baker

Delores and her husband Scott stumbled upon the Utah Prader-Willi community 16 years ago when their special needs daughter Lindsay experienced a life-threatening medical issue. They attended their first annual fundraiser for the foundation that year and instantly wanted to become a part of this great organization, creating resources and solutions for other families like theirs. Delores has served on the board for the past 15 years; as both treasurer and board member. Her daughter Lindsay was not diagnosed with the syndrome until she was 3 years old, they spent years without any PWS specific resources or support. This has led to her passion to see babies with the syndrome diagnosed at birth and immediately given the resources their families need for early intervention. Lindsay is now 31, works in the community, has a boyfriend and is thriving because of the resources and knowledge that have been provided by the foundation. Delores has an Associate degree in Biology from BYU Idaho and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Utah State University. She has worked in various leadership roles throughout the past 35 years of her career, and currently works for O.C. Tanner as a Manager/Buyer. Delores’ is the mother of 3 children and grandmother of 4. She enjoys gardening, swimming, and spending time with her family.
