Part 1 - Tammie Penta - Law Enforcement and Criminal Involvement Training

We have an exciting opportunity to get informed and keep our kids safe!

If you take your child to the store, if they go to school, if they are in a group home, basically anywhere they could be at risk and you should sign up for these wonderful sessions we have planned for you. Please know what to do in advance rather than chase the problem after it occurs.

Andi Beadles has helped set up two zoom conferences for our families with Tammie Penta, a police officer who has a son with PWS and with Staci Visser, a criminal defense attorney who has been instrumental in helping get some of our Utah individuals with PWS out of the criminal justice system.

These two will teach us what to do to help our children stay out of trouble and if an incident happens, what to do and when!  Many of our individuals run into trouble and the families don't contact our organization quickly.  It is so much easier to help right away!

Please mark your calendars for our  April 11 and April 25 zoom conferences at 7:00 p.m.  Please come with questions!  You might think none of this applies to you but all of our children are at risk and as parents, we need to know what to do to mitigate any legal issues and protect them from any type of misunderstanding or legal situation.

Part 1 of this two part training will feature Tammie Penta.  Tammie Penta worked for the Tucson Police Department for over 30 years and is committed to educating famliies when crisis arises by involving law enforcment.  Mrs. Penta is the mom of a 30 year old, Victor, who has Prader-Willi syndrome. 

Part 2 of this two part training will feature Staci Visser.  Staci Visser is an experienced criminal defense and appellate attorney with extensive experience in family law.  Mrs. Visser has been instrumental in assisting Prader-Willi families with law inforcement interactions.
